<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Residential Structure Fire at 1109 Pannell Street</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 1109 Pannell Street at 9:06am on Monday, September 7th.  <br /><br />The first unit arrived less than five minutes later and reported smoke showing, possibly coming from the basement.  Crews pulled pre-connected hose lines to the basement through access on the exterior of the home.  Further investigation revealed the fire was in an exterior wall.  The fire was quickly extinguished and a thorough search of the building was conducted.  <br /><br />Fire investigators determined the fire originated in the rear, exterior part of the home.  Damage is estimated at $1,000.  The cause remains under investigation.  There were no reported injuries.<br /><br />Eight units from the Columbia Fire Department responded to this call.</div>
