<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia police arrest subject near investigate shots fired incident in the 3900 block of Buttonwood Dr., Oct. 2</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Oct. 2, Columbia police arrested Dajon Gulley, 23, of Columbia for the charges of felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest in the parking lot of McDonald’s, located at 500 E. Nifong Blvd. E.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 1:34 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of shots heard near the 3900 block of Buttonwood Dr. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 2 p.m., officers were in the area of the incident and were flagged down by a witness who reported that a black male wearing a white hoodie and white shorts appeared to be carrying a heavy object that was concealed in his pocket, which the witness thought was a gun. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers observed an individual who fit the description described by the witness walking towards McDonald’s. The officers observed a weighted object as well. Once the individual saw the officers, he fled on foot and attempted to hide behind a vehicle that was occupied by an adult female and juveniles. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers also observed Gulley appear to throw an object under the vehicle before he jumped inside the vehicle in an attempt to flee. Officers detained Gulley after he resisted arrest. Gulley was transported by officers to a local hospital for further evaluation.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The firearm in question was seized as evidence. Several shell casings were located in the area of Buttonwood Drive, but no injuries were reported at the time of the incident.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">At this time, it is not clear if Gully was directly involved in the shots fired incident. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an active and ongoing investigation. There are no further details to provide at this time.
