<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia police investigate a second report of shots fired in the 400 block of Oak Street, Oct. 4</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 3:41 p.m. on Oct. 4, Columbia police responded to a second report of shots fired in the 400 block of Oak St., where more than 40 shell casings were located on the scene.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A recent incident of shots fired occurred on Friday Oct. 2, in the same area causing property damage to a nearby residence.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Upon arrival, officers learned there was an exchange of gunfire from two separate groups within close proximity of one another.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the investigation, officers located property damage to a residence and several parked vehicles in the area. There were no injuries reported at the time of the incident.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"The frequency of these incidents of gunfire is unacceptable and will not be tolerated," said Assistant Chief of Police Brian Richenberger. "Under the leadership of Chief Geoff Jones, CPD will pour all of our available resources into this investigation in order to prevent any future harm to innocent bystanders in our community."</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At this time, there is no suspect description or vehicle description available. This is an active investigation and has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division.</span></p>
