<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Public Works Department is requesting public feedback regarding the </span><strong> </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fourth Street and Broadway Pedestrian Crossing project. As part of the City’s public involvement process for capital projects, and due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, Public Works is holding an online Interested Parties (IP) meeting from Monday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 11 at </span><a href="https://www.como.gov/publicworks/fourth-street-and-broadway-pedestrian-crossing/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CoMo.gov/publicworks/fourth-street-and-broadway-pedestrian-crossing</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">T</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">he preliminary design for the Fourth Street and Broadway Pedestrian Cro
ssing project includes new crosswalk striping, a raised pedestrian island, pedestrian crossing flashing beacons, two new ADA sidewalk ramps, a section of new sidewalk, two curb bump outs with tree planters, permeable pavement and lane and striping reconfiguration.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Investment for this project is estimated at $230,000 paid from the ¼-cent Capital Improvement Program (CIP) sales tax.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The online comment period will run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11.
