<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sam Gaines Construction, Inc., contractor for the City of Columbia, will begin construction on the St. Charles Road Sidewalk project beginning Monday, Dec. 7, weather permitting. This project includes construction of approximately 3,100 linear feet of concrete sidewalk on the north side of St. Charles Road from Demaret Drive to Battle Avenue including a crosswalk with rectangular rapid flashing beacons across St. Charles Road at Demaret Drive. The sidewalk will be constructed along the Lake of the Woods Golf Course and will connect to the existing sidewalk near Battle Avenue.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drivers are encouraged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone. <br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The estimated project cost is $688,600 funded with a 50/50 cost share with Columbia Publi
