<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas Day and Friday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year’s Day. Offices will reopen the Mondays following each holiday.<br /><br />All Solid Waste services (landfill and all collections) will not operate on the observed holidays and will be delayed by one day the remainder of each week. Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. Solid Waste crews will collect live Christmas trees (no tinsel, ornaments, lights or tree stands) with curbside collection between Dec. 26 and Jan. 31. Trees may also be taken to one of the Yard Waste Drop-off Centers. Residents can download the COMO Recycle and Trash app for collection day reminders and notifications. Questions concerning the collection schedule should be directed to the Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489).<br /><br />Go COMO, Columbia's public transit system, will no
t operate, and parking meter regulations will not be enforced on the observed holidays. Go COMO routes will operate full schedules on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31). Tiger Line shuttles are observing the University of Missouri's winter break and ended service Friday, Dec. 18, at 8 p.m. Limited service will resume Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 10 a.m. with full services resuming Tuesday, Jan. 19.<br /><br />Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will not update COVID-19 numbers on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. PHHS will not update numbers on Saturday or Sunday, as they are no longer reporting on the weekends. The information hub will be updated on the Mondays following the holidays. The information hub can be found by visiting <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/Coronavirus">CoMo.gov/Coronavirus</a>. Case investigators and contact tracers will not be working Christmas Day or New Year’s Day to allow them to enjoy the holidays.

capacity, similar to their work on a normal weekend. <br /><br />Parks and Recreation’s Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will close early at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and will be closed on Christmas Day. The ARC will also close at 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) and will be closed on New Year’s Day.<br /><br />Although administrative offices for both the Police and Fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available.<br /><br />Please visit <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/Utilities">CoMo.gov/Utilities</a> for phone numbers to contact staff regarding emergencies related to Water, Electric, Sewer and Stormwater.</div>
