<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police will not enforce parking regulations for vehicles parked downtown at expired parking meters on Thursday, Dec. 24 or Friday, Dec. 25.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vehicles that create an unsafe situation, however, will still be ticketed. An unsafe situation could include blocking a road, fire hydrant, driveway or sidewalk; being illegally parked in an accessible space or a no parking zone; or being double-parked.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"The District, Downtown CID, is happy to see the City of Columbia understands the need to welcome shoppers during the holiday season," said Downtown CID Executive Director Nickie Davis. "This will also allow our faith communities to utilize street parking during worship." </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police will resume expired parking meter violations enforcement on Saturday, Dec. 26.</span></p></div>
