<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police arrest barricade subject in the 3500 block of New Haven Rd., Dec 23</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 3:50 p.m., Columbia Police arrested Douglas Antonio Lee, 42, of Columbia. Lee was arrested for felony warrants for the charges of first degree Domestic Assault, Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Resisting/Interfering with Arrest.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At approximately 10:34 a.m., Columbia Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a suspect who was known to have several felony warrants. The vehicle fled and officers engaged in a pursuit that began near 33 E. Broadway. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The officers terminated the pursuit as it entered the downtown area, but were able to locate the suspect at a known residence in the 3500 of New Haven Rd.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The suspect, identified as Lee, barricaded himself inside the residence for more than four hours. Lee was armed with a pistol when officers took him into custody.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police requested assistance from CPD SWAT BearCat, Crisis Negotiations Team, </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Vice Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and Columbia Fire. A drone also was used to help locate the suspect.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">No injuries occurred during the incident.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time. </span></p>
