<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) continues to work on a vaccine rollout plan with community health partners and the state of Missouri. The vaccination will be available in phases as determined by the state. While vaccine supplies are limited, local health officials are working to vaccine people in Phase 1A.<br /><br />Below are the current phases from the state of Missouri. Please note that these phases are subject to change.<br />
<ul>
<li>Phase 1A: patient-facing health care workers and long-term care facility residents and staff</li>
<li>Phase 1B: high-risk individuals ages 18 to 64, individuals over age 65, first responders and essential workers including childcare workers, teachers, water and wastewater workers, energy workers, critical manufacturing workers, and food and agriculture workers</li>
<li>Phase 2: populations at increased risk including prisoners and unsheltered individuals</li>
<li>Phase 3: all residents</li>
</ul>
"While many folks want to get their vaccine immediately, we would appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the phases that have been determined by the state of Missouri," PHHS Director Stephanie Browning said. "Even though vaccinations are being distributed, it’s important to continue following all health orders, wearing masks, washing your hands and avoiding large gatherings. We can get through this hard time together."<br /><br />A new page on <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov">CoMo.gov</a> will provide information about vaccine phases and frequently asked questions. When vaccines are available to the general public, information will be included about when and where vaccines will be administered. That page can be found here: <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine">CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine</a>. <br /><br />This page also includes a link to a survey where community members can sign up to receive email notifications about the stat
 us of COVID vaccine distribution in Boone County. Filling out this survey does not guarantee when someone would get a vaccine, but does provide a way for PHHS to contact community members when doses are available to them. <br /><br />Anyone who qualifies for Phase 1A and hasn’t received a vaccine can email <a href="mailto: CovidVaccine@CoMo.gov">CovidVaccine@CoMo.gov</a>.</div>
