<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <em>Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services issued the following statement regarding vaccine distribution guidance on Thursday, Jan. 14.</em><br /><br />We have received the state’s updated guidance and are working on implementing it in Boone County. We are relieved to see that we have been given the go ahead to move on to vaccinating some of our most vulnerable residents as supply levels permit. This is an important step in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in our area. <br /><br />At this time Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services continues to vaccinate those who are considered 1A. We are also beginning to vaccinate those within <a href="http://www.como.gov/covidvaccine">Phase 1B, Tier 1</a>, but vaccine supply is limited. Moving into the next tiers and phases will be dependent on vaccine availability. <br /><br />While we are still focused on getting shots to e
 veryone in the 1A and 1B, Tier 1 populations, we are also putting programs and people in place to be able to vaccinate the high-risk individuals identified as group 1B, Tier 2: adults ages 65 and over and those with certain medical conditions. Our department will make a public announcement when we are able to vaccinate those in 1B, Tier 2. <br /><br />Columbia and Boone County residents can sign up for notifications of when vaccines are available to them by filling out this form: <a href="https://forms.gle/QkFq8b3FNnD8UfTcA">https://forms.gle/QkFq8b3FNnD8UfTcA</a>. Please note that this gives us a way to contact those who are in the groups being vaccinated, but does not serve as a virtual queue or guarantee when and where a dose will be available. <br /><br />For information about where you fall in the order of prioritization and for answers to some frequently asked questions, please visit <a href="http://CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine">CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine</a>. As vaccines beco
