<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 2200 block of West Worley St., Jan. 19</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police responded to a disturbance in the 2200 block of West Worley St. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at approximately 3:50 p.m. It was reported that there was a vehicle crash followed by shots fired. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived and began searching the area but found both vehicles had traveled to the 3300 block of W. Worley St. Officers were able to make contact with the drivers from both vehicles. They were identified as Shaun Ennis and Cale Thurston. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the investigation, officers learned that the two vehicles collided in the 2200 block of W. Worley St. Both vehicles then traveled into the Columbia Mall parking lot near Wendy’s where one of the drivers brandished a firearm and shot at the other driver. It was determined that the bullet struck the vehicle. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers located damage to the vehicles that was caused by the crash, along with a bullet hole in one of the vehicles involved. No injuries were reported. There is no known damage to any structure at this time. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ennis, 31, of Columbia was arrested for operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thurston, 41, of Columbia was arrested for operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, first degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, property damage, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ennis and Thurston were remanded to the custody of Boone County Jail. There were no injuries reported. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation, more information may become available at a later time.</span></p>
