(COLUMBIA, MO) -
City of Columbia plow crews reported at 7 p.m., replacing the day shift, to continue responding to winter weather. Crews will focus on plowing and treating priority routes and monitoring for refreeze. Due to extreme cold temperatures, slick areas may be expected.

Although a street may still be snow packed, a street is considered passable once an inspector determines that at least one travel lane is accessible for a front wheel drive vehicle at driving speeds well below the normal posted speed limits. Examples of passable roads may be found on our website at CoMo.gov/comosnow/home/examples-of-passable-roads/<span style="font-weight:

Sidewalks are used by residents to get to school, work and shopping. The City appreciates the effort to keep our sidewalks accessible.

Public Works and City staff will continue to closely monitor road conditions and adjust operational plans as needed. As winter weather can be unpredictable, residents are encouraged to closely monitor the forecast and chan
ging road conditions throughout the mid-Missouri area. Moto!
rists are advised to drive with caution.

Additional updates will be available via press release, on the City’s social media pages and at CoMoSnow.com.
