<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Public Works department is requesting public feedback regarding the North William Street and Hinkson Avenue traffic calming project. As part of the City’s public involvement process for capital projects, and due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, Public Works is holding an online interested parties (IP) meeting from Monday, March 1 through Friday, March 12 at </span><a href="https://www.como.gov/publicworks/william-hinkson-calming/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">CoMo.gov/publicworks/william-hinkson-calming</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The project is intended to use traffic calming devices to lower operating speeds on William Street from Paris Road to Broadway as well as Hinkson Avenue from Paris Road to Old 63. North William Street was No.
2 on the 2018 Neighborhood Traffic Management Program Priority List while Hinkson Avenue was No. 3. Previous interested parties meetings were held on Oct. 15, 2019 and on Sept. 2, 2020 . Based upon that feedback, two preliminary designs have been drafted.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Investment for this project is estimated at $50,000 paid for by the annual traffic calming funds.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">The online comment period will run from March 1 to March 12.
