<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">City of Columbia Housing Programs Division issues request for applications for FY 2022 Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia anticipates receiving approximately $1,000,000 in FY 2022 Community<br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $600,000 in FY 2022 HOME funding from the<br />Department of Housing and Urban Development available during 2022. Funds will be provided for<br />CDBG and HOME eligible activities identified in the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan. An informational<br />session for any interested individuals or organizations will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 701<br />E. Broadway on May 27, 2021 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.<br /><br /><strong>CDBG Funding</strong><br /><br />CDBG funds primarily benefit low to moderate income households, and can be used for affordable<br />housing, economic development, community facilities and neighborhood infrastructure.<br /><br /><strong>HOME Funding</strong><br /><br />Eligible HOME activities include: homebuyer assistance, new constr
 uction for homeownership, or for<br />rental occupancy by households with special needs, tenant-based rental assistance, and rehabilitation<br />for homeownership or rental occupancy. All HOME assisted housing must benefit lower income<br />households. Staff will review project eligibility; the Community Development Commission will review<br />criteria, application submission procedures, and project implementation requirements.<br /><br />Applications will be available at the Housing Programs Division, 500 E. Walnut, Suite 108. The City of<br />Columbia does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry,<br />marital status, familial status, disability or sexual orientation. If you wish to receive an application or<br />have any questions regarding the application procedure, contact Darcie Clark at (573) 874-7244 or<br />e-mail Darcie.Clark@como.gov.</div>
