<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) is partnering with Boone Health and MU Health Care to host a COVID-19 vaccination outreach clinic at Derby Ridge Elementary, 4000 Derby Ridge Dr., on Saturday, May 8. The clinic will be held in the school’s gymnasium from 9 a.m. to noon.<br /><br />The clinic is being held for neighbors in the area but all are welcome to schedule an appointment or attend as a walk-in. Moderna will be given at this clinic so anyone aged 18 or older is eligible for the vaccine. The vaccine is free and no health insurance or ID is required.<br /><br />Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by following this link: <a href="https://www.como.gov/health/fgfhysiispkd/?ap=ftyhkuio39ddd%*7_special_event">CoMo.gov/Health/fgfhysiispkd/?ap=ftyhkuio39ddd%*7_special_event</a> or by visiting <a href="https://www.como.gov/Cov
 idVaccine/">CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine</a> and clicking on the "Derby Ridge Elementary COVID-19 Vaccinations" button. Those unable to schedule an appointment online are welcome to call the City Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489). Second doses will be available June 5 at the same times and location. <br /><br />These types of outreach clinics are being held to reduce barriers for Boone County residents to be vaccinated. Staff and resources will be provided by PHHS, Boone Health and MU Health Care. Thanks to Columbia Public Schools for the use of the building, Columbia Public Works for lending message boards and Heart of Missouri United Way for outreach assistance. <br /><br />Local media interested in covering the event are asked to email PHHS Public Information Specialist Sara Humm at Sara.Humm@CoMo.gov.</div>
