<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police responded to a reported attempted carjacking on Monday, May 10, at approximately 8:40 p.m. in the 4700 block of Clark Ln.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Upon arrival, officers made contact with an adult male victim. The victim reported he was inside his vehicle when a subject approached the vehicle and tapped on the window with what appeared to be a handgun. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The victim reported the subject demanded the vehicle. The victim reported that he was able to drive away from the area before calling 911.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The victim described the suspect as a tall, thin Black male with facial hair but was unable to provide any further description. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate any person matching the description.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There were no injuries reported.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time.</span></p>
