<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Public Works crews will be making pavement repairs on South Garth Avenue near the intersection of East Parkway Drive beginning Wednesday, May 19, weather permitting. Work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, May 21, weather permitting.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Lane restrictions will take place while crews are performing repairs. Parking will be restricted until work is completed.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Minor delays are expected due to lane restrictions, but streets will remain open to two-way traffic. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians should exercise caution in these areas while crews are working. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the work zone when necessary.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-we
 ight: 400;">This work is part of the 2020 </span><a href="https://www.como.gov/publicworks/streets-and-sidewalks/pavement/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pavement Management Plan</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, which was presented to City Council in March 2020. This plan is based on the principle that preventive and rehabilitative street maintenance is more cost-effective than reconstruction.</span></p></div>
