<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Correction: The charges for each suspect has been reconciled in this updated release. Our apologies for any inconvenience.</span></em></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As of Wednesday, May 19, Columbia Police have arrested five suspects involved in the shots fired incident that occurred at Walmart, 3001 W. Broadway on Monday, May 10.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With the assistance of the Jefferson City Police Department, Mariquan M. Midgyett, 23, of Columbia was located and arrested for the charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Detectives of the Columbia Police Department transported Midgyett to Columbia and remanded him to the custody of the Boone County Jail.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition to Mariquan M. Midgyett, CPD detectives also arrested Shaquail T. Midgyett, 20, of Columbia for the charges of fourth degree assault and disturbing the peace. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation and is being handled by the Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. More information may become available later. </span></p>
