<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia Utilities department is requesting public feedback regarding the Highway 63 Connector sewer relocation project. As part of the City's public involvement process for capital projects and because of the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, the Sewer Utility is holding an online interested parties (IP) meeting from Tuesday, May 25 through Tuesday, June 8 at <span id="sample-permalink"><a href="https://www.como.gov/utilities/?page_id=7685&preview=true" target="wp-preview-7685">https://www.como.gov/utilities/sewer/<span id="editable-post-name">hwy-63-sewer</span>/</a></span><span id="sample-permalink">.</span><br /><br />The Highway 63 Connector sewer relocation project will include the construction of approximately 720 linear feet of sanitary sewer main under the Hwy 63 connector south of I-70. Because of settlement and fail
 ure of the existing 8-inch pipe and casing, the public sewer main in this area will be relocated as shown on the attached diagram. <br /><br />Construction costs for the project are estimated to be $605,000 with construction currently scheduled to begin in 2023.<br /><br />The online comment period will run from May 25 to June 8. During this time, citizens may review preliminary plans, contact Utilities staff with questions and comments and complete the <a href="https://www.como.gov/utilities/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2021/05/63-Conn-comment-form.pdf">IP Comment Form</a>. <br /><br />Utilities staff may be contacted via the Sewer Utility's number at 573.441.5530 or via email at <a href="mailto: Lindsey.Schaefer@como.gov">Lindsey.Schaefer@como.gov</a>. The completed IP comment form may be submitted via email or mailed to the City of Columbia Sewer Utility Department, P.O. Box 6015, Columbia, MO 65205. Please include "Highway 63 sewer r
