<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Mill and overlay operations completed for South Sixth, East Walnut and East Ash streets</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Public Works contractor, Capital Paving, performed mill and overlay operations on South Sixth, East Walnut and East Ash streets. Work began on Monday, May 17 and was completed on Wednesday, May 26. Striping is scheduled to be completed in early June, weather permitting. The investment for mill and overlaying these streets is estimated at $109,752 for East Walnut Street, $82,148 for East Ash Street and $39,519 for Sixth Street funded by the Transportation Sales Tax.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mill and overlaying is part of Public Works’ pavement management plan to proactively manage and preserve the pavement condition of Columbia’s streets. Mill and overlaying is about five to 10 times less costly than road reconstruction. This allows for an affordable plan for improving the integrity
