<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility will host a <a href="https://www.como.gov/utilities/solidwaste/landfill-expansion-project/community-meeting/">Community Involvement session</a> associated with the City's proposed municipal solid waste landfill expansion. The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4 at Columbia City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, Rooms 1A and 1B. The proposed landfill disposal area is located within the Columbia Landfill property and lies south of the City's current landfill disposal area, located at 5700 Peabody Road, approximately 1.2 miles east of Route B.<br /><br />The purpose of the Community Involvement Session is to present and discuss the findings of the geologic investigation that was performed within the proposed landfill disposal area and to solicit public comments. The geologic investigation was conducted to determine whether the proposed site has suit
