<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia offices will be closed Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day.<br /><br />Although offices will be closed on Monday, residential curbside trash and recycling will be collected on the observed holiday Monday, July 5. The landfill will be open to the public Monday, July 5. Residents can download the COMO Recycle and Trash app for collection day reminders and service notifications. Questions concerning the collection schedule should be directed to the Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489). <br /><br />Go COMO, Columbia's public transit system will operate a limited schedule, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., on the observed holiday, Monday, July 5, but will not operate on Sunday, July 4. Metered street parking and parking garage regulations will not be enforced on July 4 or July 5.  <br /><br />The City's Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will have reduced hours on J
 uly 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Recreational swim will be open from noon to 2:30 p.m. The ARC will be open for normal hours on July 5.<br /><br />The City's outdoor aquatic facilities, Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center and Douglass Family Aquatic Center will be closed on Monday, July 5.<br /><br />The Columbia City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 6, at 7 p.m. at City Hall. <br /><br />Although administrative offices for both the Police and Fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available. <br /><br />Please visit <a href="https://www.como.gov/utilities/">CoMo.gov/Utilities</a> for phone numbers to contact staff regarding emergencies related to Water & Light, Sewer and Stormwater.<br /><br />For information about the Fourth of July Fire in the Sky event, visit <a href="https://www.como.gov/parksandrec/special-events-2/4th-july-fire-sky/">CoMo.gov/parksandrec/special-events-2/4th-july-fire-sky/</a>.</div>
