<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Public Works crews will begin chip sealing streets starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7. Work is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, July 29, weather permitting. Crews will perform chip sealing operations daily throughout this time period, beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 4:30 p.m.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Minor delays are possible. Motorists, nonmotorized transportation users and pedestrians should exercise caution in these areas while crews are working. Flaggers will be present to assist motorists through the workzone. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the project. Street sweepers will come through three to four days after a street has been sealed to sweep up any loose materials.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">For a full list of the streets planned for chip se

This plan is based on the principle that preventive and rehabilitative street maintenance is more cost-effective than reconstruction.</span></p>
