<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Fire at Elm Grove Trailer Park</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 3403 Elm Grove Drive, 7 for a report of a fire in a bedroom.<br /><br />The first unit arrived less than five minutes later and reported smoke from the front door.  Crews deployed a preconnected hose line and performed an aggressive fire attack.  The fire was contained to a back bedroom.<br /><br />Fire investigators determined the fire originated in a back bedroom.  The cause was accidental.  Damage is estimated at $2,500.<br /><br />Five kittens were safely rescued from the home by fire crews.  All other occupants had exited safely prior to our arrival.<br /><br />Eight units from the Columbia Fire Department responded to this call.  There were no reported injuries.<br /><br />The Columbia Fire Department reminds residents that smoke alarms save lives.  Smoke alarms should be placed o
 n every level of your home and outside places where people sleep. Check your smoke alarms monthly by pressing the test button.  Change your smoke alarm batteries at least once a year.</div>
