<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">43rd Annual Heritage Festival and Craft Show set for Sept. 18-19</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The 43rd Annual Heritage Festival and Craft Show will return Sept. 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Nifong Park, 3700 Ponderosa St. Organized by Columbia Parks and Recreation, this free festival features traditional and roots entertainment on three stages and a handmade craft show. Reenactors, artisans and tradespersons dressed in 19th century attire will demonstrate their "lost" trades and sell their wares.</p>
<p>The Heritage Festival will also feature a cowboy camp and mountain man camp. Visitors will be able to take hayrides around the park and try out crafts and games in the Burrell Health Fun For Young’uns area.</p>
<p>Live entertainment will include a variety of musical genres, including Celtic, Cajun, blues, folk, western and bluegrass. Traditional storytellers, magicians and newcomers "Beyond the Circle" Native American cultural performers will grace the Heritage Festival stage this year, as will Kunama World African Arts dance group. </p>
<p>The Boone County History & Culture Center will be open and will be admission-free. Families are welcome to tour the 12,000 square foot museum and art gallery featuring "Columbia 1821-2021 The Birth and Evolution of College Town USA" in honor of Columbia’s Bicentennial. Hundreds of items are on display in addition to featured exhibits. Other venues at Nifong Park that will be available for Heritage Festival visitors will include three structures at the Village at Boone Junction and the historic Maplewood Home. </p>
<p>The Heritage Festival is coordinated by Columbia Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Boone County History & Culture Center, KPLA 101.5, KFRU 1400, the Missouri Arts Council, the Columbia Missourian, Machens Toyota and Burrell Behavioral Health.</p>
