<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Smoke in Building NextGen Precision Health Institute</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">The Columbia Fire Department was dispatched to 1030 Hitt Street, NextGen Precision Health Institute at 10:43am on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  Dispatch information included a report of smoke in the basement.</p>
<p><br />The first unit arrived less than three minutes later and reported a multi-storey commercial building under construction with nothing showing.  Crews proceeded to the basement where they reported a light haze and an electrical odor.</p>
<p><br />Further investigation revealed that a piece of machinery had malfunctioned and there was no fire.  Fire crews used electric fans to remove smoke from the building.  There were no reported injuries. </p>
<br />Eight units from the Columbia Fire Department responded to this call.</div>
