<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Integrated Electric Resource and Master Plan Task Force, a citizen-led committee, is seeking public input on the finalized Integrated Electric Resource and Master Plan reports and a draft of the task force’s recommendations to the City Council. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Council Chambers at City Hall.<br /><br />A draft of the recommendations report from the task force will be posted Oct. 20 on the <a href="https://www.como.gov/boards/integrated-electric-resource-and-master-plan-task-force/">Integrated Electric Resource and Master Plan Task Force</a> page.<br /><br />The Integrated Electric Resource and Master Plan Task Force was established in 2018 to assist in Water & Light’s long-term utility planning process. Siemens, a consultant for the City, prepared the studies that the task force is using as a basis for its recommendations to the Council. <br /><
br />The Integrated Electric Resource Plan informs recommendations for Water & Light to accommodate forecasted electric system peak and energy demands through a combination of specified resources.<br /><br />The Master Plan provides general guidance for necessary electric system improvements to maintain reliability and serve anticipated loads, and determines the costs of upgrading and expanding Water & Light’s transmission and distribution system to meet the needs of new and existing customers. <br /><br />At the meeting, the public can provide input before the task force presents its recommendations to the City Council. Task force members and Water & Light staff will be present to answer questions.<br /><br />Social-distancing guidelines will be in place for the meeting.<br /><br />Any interested Water & Light customers who cannot attend the meeting can fill out an online <a href="https://www.como.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Task-Force-comment-form.p
