<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - After review, recommendation, and authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine are recommended for individuals aged 16 and 17. Boosters for those aged 18 and older were previously recommended.<br /><br />The boosters for the 16- and 17- year-old age group are authorized for the Pfizer vaccine 6 months after completing the primary vaccination series.<br /><br />Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services, 1005 W. Worley St., will have appointment-only COVID-19 vaccination clinics at the office on set days. These clinics will be for anyone who needs any dose in the series (first, second, third or booster dose) of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Individuals 5 years old and older are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine while the Moderna and Johnson &
  Johnson vaccines are available for individuals aged 18 and older. Appointments are required and can be scheduled here: <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/Health/Covid19-Vaccine-Appointments">CoMo.gov/Health/Covid19-Vaccine-Appointments</a> as availability allows. Vaccines are free and do not require health insurance.<br /><br />COVID-19 vaccines are widely available in Boone County. A list of other Boone County vaccinators can be found by visiting <a href="http://www.CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine">CoMo.gov/CovidVaccine</a>.</div>
