<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 24, in observance of Christmas Day, and Friday, Dec. 31, in observance of New Year’s Day. Offices will reopen the Mondays following each holiday. <br /><br />All Solid Waste services (landfill and all collections) will operate Monday, Dec. 20, through Friday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 27, through Friday, Dec. 31. There will be no collections and the landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and on New Year’s Day. Solid Waste crews will collect natural Christmas trees (no tinsel, ornaments, lights or tree stands) with curbside collection between Dec. 27 and Jan. 30. Natural trees stripped of decorations may also be taken to one of the Yard Waste Drop-off Centers. Residents can download the COMO Recycle and Trash app for collection day reminders and notifications. Questions concerning the collection schedule should be directed to th
e Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489).<br /><br />GoComo, Columbia's public transit system, will not operate on either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. Buses will run on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. using Saturday schedules.<br /><br />Downtown parking meters will not be enforced on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day.<br /><br />Tiger Line shuttles are observing the University of Missouri's winter break and ended service Friday, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m. Limited service will resume Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. with full services resuming Tuesday, Jan. 18.<br /><br />Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will not be updating COVID-19 Information Hub numbers on the observed holidays.<br /> <br />Parks and Recreation’s Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will close early (at 3 p.m.) Dec. 24 and will be closed on Christmas Day. The ARC will also clos
