<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><strong>Date/Time: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Wednesday, Jan. 5 at approximately 7:20 a.m.</span></p>
<p><strong>Location: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">5400 block of Route B</span></p>
<p><strong>Vehicle 1: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">2010 Nissan Maxima</span></p>
<p><strong>Driver 1: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Douglas E. Brooks, 48, Columbia, MO, no seat belt, fatal injuries. Next of kin has been notified.</span></p>
<p><strong>Vehicle 2: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">2017 Nissan Sentra</span></p>
<p><strong>Driver 2: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Christine L. Kaisher, 52, Hallsville, MO, seatbelt use unknown, fatal injuries. Next of kin has been notified.</span></p>
<p><strong>Incident Details: </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brooks was traveling north on Route B, and Kaisher was traveling south on Route B in the 5400 block. Brooks was traveling northbound in the passing lane of southbound traffic when he collided head-on with Kaisher’s vehicle.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After the collision, Kaiser’s vehicle left the roadway and caught fire. First responders pronounced both drivers deceased at the scene.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The cause of the crash is being investigated. More information may become available at a later time.</span></p>
