<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><strong>Date and Time:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Thursday, Jan. 27 at approximately 10 p.m.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Interstate 70 eastbound at the 130.0 mile marker, near the Clark Lane exit.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> <br /><br /></span></p>
<p><strong>Vehicle 1:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> 2018 Chevrolet Equinox </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Driver 1:</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;"> Brandon D. Darris, 51, Jefferson City</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, MO, no seatbelt, minor injuries.</span> </p>
<p><strong>Passenger 1:</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Lacy Jordan, age 67, Columbia, MO, no seatbelt,</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> fatal injuries. Next of kin has been notified.</span> </p>
<p><strong>Vehicle 2:</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">2019 Ford F750 truck</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Driver 2</strong><strong>:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Michael L. Landis, 52, Mexico, MO,</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> seatbelt, no injuries.</span> <br /><br /></p>
<p><strong>Incident Details:</strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Darris and Landis were both traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 near the 130.0 mile marker. Darris’ vehicle experienced mechanical issues while in the driving lane of the interstate when Landis’s vehicle struck the back of Darris’ vehicle. After the collision, Darris’ vehicle came to rest in the median against the cable barrier.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Jordan, the back seat passenger in Darris’ vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time.</span></p>
