<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia Ward Reapportionment Committee has rescheduled the public hearing for ward redistricting based on the 2020 Census data to Tuesday, Feb. 8. The public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 701 E. Broadway at 6 p.m. The original meeting scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3 was postponed due to inclement weather.<br /><br />The City Council appointed the Ward Reapportionment Committee in November 2021 for the purpose of making recommendations on an updated ward map to the City Council by Feb. 15, 2022. A new ward map will not become effective until after the April 5, 2022, municipal election.<br /><br />The Committee has also opened a survey to the public where participants can offer comments on draft "trial" maps (A,B,C) as well as learn more about the work of Council ward redistricting. <br /><br />For more information about the process or to access
