<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <strong><br />Street</strong><br /><em><strong>Contact: John Ogan, John.Ogan@CoMo.gov</strong></em><br /><br />A 35-person City of Columbia Public Works snow plow crew continues its response to the ongoing winter weather event. The crew will continue to focus on keeping first and second priority routes in a passable state throughout the day. At 7 p.m., they will be relieved by a 25-person overnight plow crew who will continue to ensure that first and second priority routes are kept passable and will also plow third priority routes to a passable state.<br /><br />Please have all vehicles removed from priority roads at this time. Doing so will give snow plow drivers the ability to do their job more quickly, efficiently and safely. Vehicles on snow routes will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense if they are not moved. To receive notifications when vehicles must be moved off of priority routes
  and when normal parking rules resume, sign up for alerts at Nixle.com or by texting your zip code to 888-777.<br /><br />We are encouraging all motorists to avoid travel if possible. If you must drive, please do so at speeds well below the posted speed limit and use prudent winter weather driving techniques.<br /><br /><strong>Transit<br /></strong><br />Go COMO transit service is expected to resume Friday, Feb. 18, at its normal time of 6 a.m. We will provide any further updates via social media, press release and via the Go COMO website and app. <br /><br /><strong>Contacting the City of Columbia</strong><br /><br />The CoMo.gov live chat will be open for after-hours questions until 9 p.m. Thursday.</div>
