<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - A 23-person City of Columbia Public Works crew will be reporting for duty at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 to respond to an ongoing winter weather event. Their primary focus will be on treating first and second priority roads.<br /><br />Because of the potential for overnight snow accumulations in excess of 2 inches, please move your vehicles off of snow routes on Thursday night. Snow routes can be identified by looking for the red, white and blue snow route signs or by checking the priority route viewer map found at CoMoSnow.com. If you are able, please park your vehicle in your driveway and off of all roadways, not just snow routes. Doing so will allow snow plow drivers the ability to do their work safely and more efficiently.<br /><br />For the Friday morning commute, road slickness may be a concern, especially on untreated roads. When traveling, be sure to stay alert, keep your speed low, give y
 ourself extra braking distance and refrain from tailgating.<br /><br />Public Works and City staff will continue to closely monitor road conditions and adjust operational plans as needed. As winter weather can be unpredictable, residents are encouraged to closely monitor the forecast and changing road conditions throughout the mid-Missouri area.<br /><br />Additional updates will be available via press release, on the City's social media pages and at CoMoSnow.com.</div>
