<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The public is invited to take part in a behind-the-scenes tour of the new terminal at Columbia Regional Airport (COU), 11300 S. Airport Dr., Tuesday, April 12.<br /><br />Guided tours will begin at 3:30 p.m. by the south side of the existing airport terminal.  <br /><br />Those in attendance will be given a sneak peek at the new terminal where they will be able to walk through the construction site and see the progress that has been made on the project.<br /><br />"As we reach another important milestone in the construction of the new terminal, it’s important that the public has an opportunity to see the progress that has been made," said Airport Manager Mike Parks. "Everyone in attendance will be able to see firsthand how the terminal will enhance COU’s services and allow us to provide a more enjoyable airport experience for Columbia residents and visitors.&quo
 t;   <br /><br />The new terminal will be larger and feature new amenities, such as several passenger boarding bridges, a restaurant, a mother's room, a sensory room and an interior Service Animal Relief Area (SARA). It is on schedule to open late summer 2022.<br /><br />Parking is available in the airport passenger lots and guests should look for signs directing them toward the event.<br /><br /><br /><em>This event will include a walk-through of areas that are under construction and some parts may be difficult to navigate. All members of the public are welcome and staff will be available to assist people with mobility impairments to provide access during this tour. If you have questions, concerns or requests for accommodations related to disability, then please call 573.817.5064 or email airport@CoMo.gov. In order to assist staff in making the appropriate arrangements for your accommodation, please make your request as far in advance of the event date as poss
