<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is thrilled to announce that Strategic Communications Manager Megan McConachie has been awarded the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) Scholarship and will represent the state of Missouri at STS Marketing College in Macon, GA during the week of June 5-10, 2022. <br /><br />The <a href="https://www.southeasttourism.org/">Southeast Tourism Society</a> is made up of 14 participating states/regions of the United States, including the Missouri Division of Tourism, that work together to promote regional tourism. Every year they award this scholarship, sponsored by <a href="https://www.milespartnership.com/meet-miles">Miles Partnership</a>, to one person from each region allowing them to attend STS Marketing College. <br /><br />Since its inception in 1992, <a href="https://www.southeasttourism.org/marketing-college">STS Marketing College</a> has ho
 sted tourism professionals, for one week, each year, to provide a unique continuing education program for the travel and tourism industry. Marketing College professors are industry professionals from across the U.S. who bring working knowledge of current trends, data and implementation for the travel and tourism industry.<br /><br />The Columbia CVB is certified by the Missouri Division of Tourism as the official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for Boone County and is an accredited DMO through Destinations International. The CVB’s mission is to, ‘Generate economic growth and promote Columbia as a tourism destination that creates memorable experiences,’ and accomplishes that mission through marketing, sales and services, and tourism development.</div>
