<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Sunday, April 17 at approximately 1:45 a.m., Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Ninth and Cherry Streets.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police arrested Victor L. Arriaga, 20, of Jefferson City for assault and unlawful use of a weapon and Israel N. Ortiz, 20, of Jefferson City for peace disturbance by fighting in relation to a reported shots fired investigation with injury.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the investigation, officers discovered one adult male had sustained a gunshot wound that had been transported to a local hospital in a personally owned vehicle. At the time of this press release, he is listed in stable condition. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation. More information may become available at a later time.</span></p>
