<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police investigate a reported home invasion in the 4000 block of Hyde Park Avenue, April 20</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired at a residence on Wednesday, April 20 at approximately 7:50 p.m. in the 4000 block of Hyde Park Avenue. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers arrived at the residence but found no individuals present. After entry into the residence, officers located evidence confirming shots were fired. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the investigation, officers learned that the incident was a reported home invasion and determined that multiple victims were involved. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One victim stated that while he was entering the residence, several suspects approached him and forced him inside the residence while brandishing a firearm. He stated he had been struck with a firearm, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.  No injuries to other victims were reported.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There is no suspect information to provide at this time. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division. More information may become available at a later time.</span></p>
