<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia anticipates receiving approximately $1 million in FY 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $600,000 in FY 2023 HOME funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development available during 2023. Funds will be provided for CDBG and HOME eligible activities identified in the <a href="https://www.como.gov/community-development/housing-programs-division/2020-2024-consolidated-plan/">2020-2024 Consolidated Plan</a>. An informational session for any interested individuals or organizations will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway May 12 from 6:30 pm.. to 8:00 p.m.<br /><br /><strong>CDBG Funding</strong><br /><br />CDBG funds primarily benefit low to moderate-income households and can be used for affordable housing, economic development, community facilities and neighborhood infrastructure.<br /><br /><br /><strong>HOME Funding</st
 rong><br /><br />Eligible HOME activities include: homebuyer assistance, new construction for homeownership, or for rental occupancy by households with special needs, tenant-based rental assistance, and rehabilitation for homeownership or rental occupancy. All HOME assisted housing must benefit lower-income households. Staff will review project eligibility and the Community Development Commission will review criteria, application submission procedures and project implementation requirements.</div>
