<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Public survey available for Route B/Paris Road safety audit</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia Public Works department has contracted with CBB Transportation Engineers and Planners of Saint Louis, Missouri to lead a Roadway Safety Audit (RSA) for the Missouri State Route B/Paris Road corridor. This audit will be performed on Route B starting from its intersection with Oakland Church Road and extending to its intersection with Business Loop 70 East. Particular attention will be paid to safe travel for vulnerable road users including people walking, people biking, seniors, motorcyclists and school age children.<br /><br />As part of the audit process, Public Works and the consultant team have created a survey for those who travel along the corridor to report how often they travel along Route B, by what methods and to identify their top safety concerns. The City would like to gather feedback from all users of the corridor, including residents, commuters, employees and busin
 ess owners. The survey is also intended to allow the City to hear from all types of road users: motorists, passengers, people walking, people biking, motorcyclists, transit users and commercial drivers.<br /><br />To take the survey, please visit the BeHeardCoMo page for the road safety audit, located at <a href="https://beheard.como.gov/route-b-audit">BeHeard.CoMo.gov/route-b-audit</a>. Surveys can be submitted anonymously, without registering for a BeHeardCoMo account, but comments on the BeHeardCoMo site are also welcome and will be visible to the public.<br /><br />For those without internet access, paper surveys can be completed at the following locations:<br /><br />

A community stakeholder meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at United Community Cathedral, 1801 Towne Drive. A business stakeholder meeting will be held at the same location on Wednesday, July 20, from 3-4:30 p.m. There will also be a virtual meeting option with the date and time to be announced later on social media and on the BeHeardCoMo page.<br /><br />A final report based upon the findings of the audit is expected to be completed in late 2022.</div>
