<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Roy Lovelady will be sworn in as the new Ward 3 City Council member during a special Council meeting Saturday, Aug. 13, in the City Council Chambers, 701 E. Broadway. Current Ward 3 Council Member Karl Skala will also be presented with a gift, thanking him for his many years of service. <br /><br />The special meeting will begin at 9 a.m. before the budget work session, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. <br /><br />Council Member-elect Lovelady won a runoff election over the Ward 3 incumbent, Council Member Skala, Tuesday, Aug. 2.<br /><br />Prior to the swearing-in ceremony, breakfast and beverages will be served, and residents will have the opportunity to interact with both Skala and Lovelady. <br /><br />The breakfast, the special Council meeting and the budget work session will all be open to the public.</div>
