<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia Sewer Utility will host an open house to educate and inform the public of the work performed at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and by Sewer and Stormwater Utility employees. Interested parties will have the opportunity to learn about plant operations, take a tour of the facility and inquire about open positions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The open house is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4900 West Gillespie Bridge Road. Tours of the facilities will begin every 30 minutes. Refreshments and employment information will be available. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Sewer Utility staff works to protect public and environmental health through the collection, analysis and treatment of wastewater in Columbia. City staff will be highlighting employment opportunities within the Sewer Utility. The event is open to the public, and interested attendees will be able to apply for open positions on site.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The department is looking to hire for several full-time roles, including plant operator, collections assistant and maintenance mechanic. The City offers competitive pay and benefits such as health insurance, a retirement plan and paid time off.</span></p>
