<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Suspect turns himself in on charges connected to shots fired with injury incident at Old Highway 63 North and Gordon Street, Aug. 31</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Jeffrey David Tubbs, 50, of Columbia, turned himself in to the Boone County Jail at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Sept. 12. He is charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.<br /><br />Tubbs was being sought by Columbia Police in connection to an incident that occurred Aug. 31 at approximately 11:48 a.m. when officers were dispatched to an area near the intersection of Old Highway 63 North and Gordon Street for a report of a shooting.<br /><br />On scene, officers located an adult male victim with apparent gunshot wounds who was transported by EMS to a local hospital. While the suspect had already fled the scene, officers identified Tubbs as the suspect during the investigation.<br /><br />Tubbs is in custody of the Boone County Jail without bond.<br /><br />If you know something, say something. Columbia Police are asking for your help. Anyone w
