(COLUMBIA, MO) - Corrective Asphalt Materials, LLC, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, is scheduled to perform pavement maintenance on seven sections of City streets beginning Monday, Oct. 10, at 7 a.m.

The contractor will be applying a protective rejuvenating product to the pavement known as Reclamite, which is used to extend the service life of asphalt, typically by five to seven years. Even though the product is clear, a sand-based material will be used to blot the surface for a few days following application in order to reduce tracking. The sand will be swept up about one week after the initial application. Streets are able to be driven upon immediately following the treatment.

Crews plan to work daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. No parking signs have been posted on all streets planned for treatment. Please refrain from parking your vehicles on signed streets during wor
king hours.

Temporary lane closures will be required. Traffic control signs and flaggers will be present to assist motorists through work zones as needed. Motorists and pedestrians should expect short delays and find alternate routes if possible.

A list of streets that will receive surface treatment are:

Panorama Lane from Providence Road to Aspen Ridge Drive
