<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Capital Paving, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, has been performing overnight pavement maintenance operations on East Broadway between College Avenue and Old Highway 63 since the evening of Monday, Oct. 10.<br /><br />Road resurfacing work on East Broadway was originally scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, but a greater than expected number of vehicles were parked on East Broadway, causing workers to postpone operations for one night. Despite the rain, overnight operations went forward as planned beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 and continued once again starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11.<br /><br />Crews have so far completed mill and overlay operations on East Broadway between College Avenue and Old Highway 63. Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, crews will continue to work on resurfacing East Broadway between Old Highway 63 and Brickton Road.<br /><b
 r />Crews will continue to work between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. each night this week. Temporary lane restrictions will be required, but at least one lane of East Broadway will remain open to traffic in both directions at all times. Motorists are reminded to drive with caution when passing through any work area.<br /><br />Maintenance operations on East Broadway between Old Highway 63 and Brickton Road are scheduled to be completed by 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, weather permitting.<br /><br />Resurfacing work on East Broadway between Hitt Street and College Avenue and on Conley and Trimble roads between Broadway Bluffs Drive and the I-70 Connector will be performed on a date still to be determined. <br /><br />View the original press release concerning these street maintenance operations at <a href="https://como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=8201">CoMo.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=8201</a>.</div>
