<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - At the request of the University of Missouri Police Department (MUPD), Columbia Police are investigating an incident resulting in the discharge of a weapon by an MUPD officer.<br /><br />According to MUPD, at about 9:25 p.m. on Oct. 28, an MUPD officer and other agencies responded to a medical incident south of the Hearnes Center on the MU campus. The Columbia Police Department was not one of the responding agencies.<br /><br />Columbia Police are conducting an independent investigation, at MUPD’s request. Because the investigation is ongoing, there is no additional information available at this time.</div>
