<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, City of Columbia Public Works crews will be performing street maintenance work on Hitt Street between Elm and Locust streets. This work will extend the surface life of the roadway which has experienced excessive wear and tear since it was last resurfaced ten years ago.<br /><br />Crews will be applying a thin overlay of asphalt to the road surface one lane at a time to allow one lane of Hitt Street to continually remain open to traffic. Signs and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic through the work zone. Motorists should expect delays and find alternative routes if possible.<br /><br />Street maintenance on Hitt Street is scheduled to end by Friday, Nov. 4 at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.</div>
