<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - On Nov. 2, the Columbia Police Department arrested Ivan Metzger, 76, while serving a search warrant at his residence in the 1800 block of Parklawn Drive. Metzger was arrested for possession of child pornography. The Columbia Police Department was assisted by Detectives of the Boone County Cyber Crimes Unit. <br /><br />Officers of the Columbia Police Department were contacted by a witness who indicated Metzger was in possession of child pornography. The Department determined probable cause existed to apply for a warrant to search Metzger’s residence and the warrant was granted by a Boone County judge. <br /><br />The search warrant was executed at Metzger’s home on Nov. 2 and evidence supporting probable cause to arrest Metzger for possession of child pornography was collected. Metzger was subsequently arrested and transported to the Boone County Jail. <br /><br />This is an ongoing inv
 estigation and certain details have been withheld out of respect for the victims involved.<br /><br />The Columbia Police Department and the detectives of the Special Victims Unit remain committed to thoroughly investigating allegations of this nature. Suspects of these crimes will be relentlessly pursued and arrested.<br /><br />The Columbia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit will continue this investigation. If you have any knowledge of details related to this case, or knowledge of similar offenses, please call the Columbia police department at 573.874.7652.<br /><br />To report a tip without including your name or contact information, call CrimeStoppers at 573.875.TIPS (8477). A tip that leads to an arrest or helps solve a felony crime could result in a cash reward.<br /><br />
