<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police arrest suspect in connection to homicide in 2000 block of Newton Drive, Dec. 5</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The Columbia Police Department arrested Corey Lonell Blueitt, 43, of Columbia, for first-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.<br /><br />The arrest is in connection to an incident that occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, when officers with the Columbia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 Block of Newton Drive.<br /> <br />Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds and applied medical aid until EMS arrived. The victim was identified as Aaron Badolato, 34, of Columbia. He was transported by EMS to a local hospital, but later succumbed to his injuries. Next of kin has been notified.<br /><br />During the course of the investigation probable cause was developed to arrest Blueitt in connection to the incident. At approximately 2:45 a.m. detectives from the Department’s Investigations Burea
u located and arrested Blueitt in the 1300 block of English Drive. He has been remanded to the custody of the Boone County Jail.<br /> <br />This investigation is ongoing. The Department is thankful to everyone in the community who has assisted this investigation by providing evidence and information. <br /><br />If you know something, say something.
