<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia anticipates receiving approximately $1 million in FY 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $600,000 in FY 2024 HOME funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development available during 2024. <br /><br />Funds will be provided for CDBG and HOME-eligible activities identified in the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan.<br /><br />An informational session for any interested individuals or organizations will be held at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, Room 1A/1B on Wednesday, March 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.<br /><br /><br /><strong>CDBG Funding</strong><br /><br />CDBG funds primarily benefit low to moderate-income households, and can be used for affordable housing, economic development, community facilities and neighborhood infrastructure.<br /><br /><br /><strong>HOME Funding</strong><br /><br />Eligible HOME activities include homebuyer assistance, new constructio
 n for homeownership, or for rental occupancy by households with special needs, tenant-based rental assistance and rehabilitation for homeownership or rental occupancy. All HOME-assisted housing must benefit lower-income households.<br /><br /><br />Staff will review project eligibility; the Community Development Commission will review criteria, application submission procedures and project implementation requirements.<br /><br />For more information email HousingPrograms@CoMo.gov or call 573.874.6321. <br /><br />Members of the public may attend any open meeting. For requests for accommodations related to disability, please call 573.874.CITY (2489) or email City@CoMo.gov. In order to assist staff in making the appropriate arrangements for your accommodation, please make your request as far in advance of the posted meeting date as possible.</div>
